May 15 – 17, 2009: Rockford chapter’s Spring Tour to Racine, WI. The motel is Holiday Inn Express @$85 plus tax. Call 262-884-0200 and ask for car club rate. Plans for Friday include tour of Case Tractor Plant and Johnson Wax Plant with a special screening of the film “To Be Alive” at the Golden Rondelle Theatre designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Saturday plans include a bakery tour of a kringel bakery, old fashioned 5 and 10 and a church window tour. Also NAPA is working on a cruise night in our honor. There are also other good antique shops, a Christmas shop and more. NOTE: there was very limited response from those wanting to be in the Lombard Lilac Parade, so we are taking a “break”, and hoping you can do this instead.
